I discovered yoga in 2001 and have absolutely loved it since. After I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2013, I fully immersed myself in the practice of yoga but I felt like it was not enough. After I gave birth to my first child, I went on obtaining my 200 hours YTT and 300 YTT certifications through YogaWorks in New York City. Follow by parental/postnatal and pelvic floor teacher training.
Post second birth, dealing with a toddler and an infant had led me to have significant backaches and I felt totally misaligned in my hips as well. Lucky for me, my husband’s chiropractic background enabled me to constantly pick his brain and investigate various exercises as well as yoga techniques that are good for back and hip pain. Through the practice of self-study and self-practice, I’ve begun to realize the power of yoga and movement. It was such a transformation for me and prevented me from suffering any more back pain. I hope to encourage others to integrate yoga into their lives for healing.
It was the integration of both chiropractic and yoga that allowed me to maintain a healthy back. I continue to educate many of his patients and my private students with their needs. I believe what you experience on your mat can totally translate and influence the way you live your life off your mat.
My goal in teaching is to transform my students toward becoming the best versions of themselves through the practice of yoga while guiding them through safety, compassion, and humorous practice as they explore the fun of yoga. All my students are my priority. It is my desire to allow students to leave my classes feeling cared for and thankful that they practiced on their mat every time.
