Your pregnant body goes through incredible chances over 9 months. After 5 years of working in Infertility department and having two pregnancies of my own. My take of practicing any shorts of exercises after you get a clearance from your doctor. Generally after 12 weeks are okay by me as long as your OBGYN approves. Practicing prenatal aids to connect you to your growing baby. The yogic breathing, movement, and modified poses with heavy props aim to provide you with more consciousness in your body. Prenatal yoga can improve your flexibility, strength, and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth.   It can also helps with easing any discomforts during pregnancy and create optimal space in your body to aid you for best delivery process. It may also ease some discomforts such as backaches, nausea, headaches, or shortness of breath.  Prenatal yoga allows a pregnant woman to feel reconnected in their body.  Which in return may reduce their stress and anxiety about their pregnancy or birth process.

I also offer private classes for couples. I will teach he/she how to support mom during the labor, share the yoga experience with her and do some partner work such as basic massage and what to avoid.  

Practicing prenatal yoga during my own pregnancy helped me so much with both of my pregnancies in terms of nausea, vomiting and backaches. I am so grateful for knowing the practice. My job is to empower and support other women to care for their pregnant body. Allow them to make the best decisions for their body and continue on toward their labor and delivery.
