Self-Care During The Pandemic

I don’t know about you, but this whole pandemic and social isolation thing is starting to get a bit frustrating.  From March 2020 till now, social isolation is still going on. I woke on my bed today feeling for the very first time that I can’t do this anymore! Can you relate? If not I’m automatically jealous!

As a mom of two and a yoga instructor, things get pretty hectic around here. Juggling between homeschooling, teaching, and cleaning, everything starts to feel very repetitive.  I officially decided that I need to nurture myself a little more, especially during this special time.  The mess can wait! So I finally began to brainstorm some self-care ideas. 

Here is my list:

Physical Care

  • Get more sleep and drink more water

  • A healthier diet, more plant-based, and fewer meats

  • More yoga practice

  • Morning daily walks/jogs


Mental Care

  • Have a heart to heart with a friend call at least once a month. (To my friends, you might hear from me more often! ^^)

  • Be more kind and loving to myself

  • Read a good book

Spiritual Care 

  • Meditate more consistently

  • Take more time to journal my thoughts

These are what I came up with as my solutions for hitting a wall. Being happy is so important so we all can live, love, and parent optimally.  Would love to hear what your self-care routines look like during this pandemic.
